- Deployment in China from mid-October to early 2026
- Global plan in three waves for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO
- Many units will receive HyperOS 3 on top of Android 16; others will stay on Android 15.
After weeks of rumors and leaks, Xiaomi has officially announced the rollout of its new interface: the HyperOS 3 update schedule is now public . The company details dates, release phases, and models for both China and the global launch, with a plan that begins in October and continues for several months.
It's worth noting that the Chinese release schedule is the most accurate , and that versions for Europe and other markets typically arrive a few days or weeks later. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has confirmed that most devices will receive HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 , while others will retain Android 15 as their base operating system.
What changes with HyperOS 3

While not a revolution like the previous generation, this version focuses on optimizing performance and reducing response times . Memory management has also been refined, and the interface has been polished for a smoother experience with more customization options.
The ecosystem is strengthened with HyperConnect and the boost from Xiaomi HyperAI for search, editing, and content creation . Furthermore, the so-called HyperIsland (the contextual notification bar) receives visual and interaction improvements, with more controls and dynamic cards readily available.
In photography and video, new image processing and AI-powered editing features are arriving , while the control center and settings incorporate design changes. Xiaomi is also focusing on privacy and security with more control options.
