WhatsApp channel for 010 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Friday, October 17, 2025, 16:14 PM The City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has activated a official WhatsApp channel linked to 010 in order to bring municipal information directly, quickly, and easily to anyone interested. Access is via this link.

According to the Councillor for the Presidency, Finance, Modernisation and Human Resources, Francisco Hernández Spínola, this action is part of the City Council modernization strategy To move toward a more transparent, accessible, and useful administration, making it easier for citizens to manage procedures without unnecessary travel through trusted digital channels.

What information will be disseminated

Municipal information via WhatsApp from 010

The channel will send weekly content with notices and practical guides on key municipal services: tax deadline reminders, updates on the Virtual Tax Office, appointment and walk-in options, and other everyday procedures.

  • How request an appointment and Schedules and service points by district.
  • Access to electronic kiosks and alternatives for processing online independently.
  • Procedures for registration certificates or residence.
  • Information about free collection of household waste and request for service.
  • Use of municipal applications “LPGC, your city” and “LPA Beach”.
  • Links to Transparency Portal and suggestion and complaint box.
  • Accesses for the validation of digital certificates and notices about pest control in public spaces.

Multi-channel network and 010 schedules

This initiative reinforces the multi-channel service network of the City Council, which includes the 010 telephone number (also 928 446 000), the electronic headquarters, mobile applications and face-to-face assistance in the districts.

010 provides service to Monday to Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 15:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m.Through this line it is possible to make an appointment, obtain information about procedures at the electronic headquarters, request the free collection of belongings, obtain payment letters or consult the documentation required for each transaction.

Outside of these hours, the service has answering machine to record calls and answer them later, so that continuity in citizen service can be maintained.

Inclusive and accessible care

The City Council maintains a inclusive channel for people with hearing disabilities, with support via video call in sign language. This resource can be requested via email. videoaudio010@laspalmasgc.es, agreeing on a day and time for assistance.

During the video call it is offered information and support in sign language to carry out municipal procedures, which facilitates effective and equal access to public services.
